Talkswitch VoIP Phone System

What is VoIP?
VoIP is short for Voice over Internet Protocol, also known as Internet Telephony. VoIP simply refers to sending telephone calls over data networks such as the Internet instead of the traditional telephone network.

Should I use VoIP?
VoIP is great in a few situations - reducing phone bills, using DID numbers, connecting multiple branches, connecting teleworkers, and phone freedom.

The most immediate benefit of VoIP for most businesses is savings on long distance calls. Companies equipped for VoIP can place long-distance calls over the Internet and reduce per-minute charges or even do unlimited plans.

VoIP also makes Direct Inward Dial (DID) possible at a significantly lower cost than T1 systems. This means specific staff can have their own number which rings directly to their desk, something which cannot be done with traditional analog phone lines.

Businesses with multiple branches in distant locations can connect their TalkSwitch systems over the IP network for branch-to-branch calling and collaboration without long-distance charges. Branches can seamlessly share phone answering duties and even transfer calls between offices!

Teleworkers can have a phone on their desk at home which works the same as any phone in the office! We also support computer-based "softphones" which are ideal for travelling staff.

Talkswitch can also work with many SIP based IP phones - giving you more choice for the phones you use. IP phones use your existing ethernet network - saving money in offices without proper phone (cat3) wiring.

Talkswitch Hybrid VoIP
VoIP can be a great tool for small business telecommunications, but isn't always better than the traditional telephone network. Talkswich can be installed with all traditional phone lines, pure VoIP lines, or a mix thereof. Whatever makes sense for your calling needs - Talkswitch can do it. One system, two networks — the best of both worlds.

Remote IP Extensions
With Talkswitch's remote IP extensions, teleworkers have all the same phone access as someone in the office! Everything works the same - three-digit dialing, intercom calling, membership in ring groups, call cascades, and more. You can even get line appearance for the office system on your external IP extension if you're using a TalkSwitch TS-9133i or TS-480i phone. Remote IP extensions are the best way to stay connected anywhere with internet access.

The Selkowitz Advantage
VoIP does require networking expertise to make work well. Our staff is trained to look at factors like available bandwidth and network infrastructure to ensure your systems can support VoIP while maintaining high call quality - improper networks can cause poor call quality. If you need upgrades we can analyze the ROI to ensure VoIP makes sense.

Talkswitch VoIP is Ideal for Small Businesses
Talkswitch VoIP phone systems start at just $995 for the core system and can scale as large as 32 traditional lines, 32 VoIP lines, and 64 extensions. Unlike hosted services Talkswitch has a low total cost of ownership - no ongoing costs for equipment or service.
